Shocked and very saddened by the passing of "Joe Flea" aka "Brunson". I have known him since the late 1970's Rat Hole days..lol, being my brother Clarence Upson's friend, being with our family at my mom's house over the years for many holiday cookouts, and finally a very close friend/brother of my significant other Tony Shumake.

He was a loyal unselfish person who aided our family during the death of my mom ( 2008), nephew (2008), and my dad (2021). He was a loyal friend to his buddies. He was also funny, kind, and loved to swing dance!

I was praying and waiting to see him again at Tony's house when he got better however God had other plans for him.

My sincere condolences to his family especially his mother who he loved beyond words.

Rest in Power Joe. You did it your way.
