Ms. A. Yvonne Woods-PhD is remembered as a Christian scholar, and Education scholar. She received Jesus Christ as her personal savior through the teachings of her grandmother, the late Mrs. Missouri Dacus, a strong woman who loved Mount Zion AME Zion Church. Dr. Woods was a retired professor, once teaching at Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama, and the University of West Alabama, Livingston, Alabama. She had a passion for reading her bible and various publications. She emphasized learning to her family & friends. May the Jordan and Woods Family find comfort in their special memories of "Von"!
