Patricia “Pat” Lynn Wilson, 62, received her heavenly wings on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Hospice of the High Point. She was born in High Point, NC on December 14, 1959, to the late John Thomas and Carrie Elizabeth Wilson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Wilson, Jr., and Clarence Gidderon; one sister, Cheryl Christina Caldwell; and a special nephew, Jeffery “Pete” Alan Wilson.
Pat was educated in the Guilford County School System, and was a graduate of Lucy Ragsdale High School, Class of 1978. She was employed at various jobs throughout the years, with her last job being her favorite job as a “certified” dish washer at High Point University.
Anyone who knew Pat knew that there is only one way to describe her – “She was the life of the party!” Whenever there was a family gathering, Pat could always be counted on to get the party started with her version of the “robot”, the “running man”, or “The Fred Sanford.” Even as her health began to decline, she became a favorite of the Hospice staff, keeping them laughing by pretending she was asleep when she didn’t want to be bothered, threatening to “bop” them as they administered meds, or asking them for $1,000 when they asked her if there was anything that she needed.
Although Pat didn’t have any children of her own, she had many special “babies” who affectionately called her Pat-Pat or Aunt Pat.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Pamela Wilson, and Thomasine Wilson, and one brother, Curry Gidderon, all of High Point, NC. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.

Pat, I will missed you my friend. We grew up together and stayed good from little kids playing at the playground to going to high school and graduate together. We had fun and some good times hanging out. Whenever I heard Pat's voice and called out her name, yes that my girl. Pat had a kind heart and yes she loved kids. When I haven't seen Pat around I knew something wasn't right because that wasn't like Pat. I will missed my good friend and classmate. God has called you home Pat and I will missed you. Love you and Rest in peace, Betty Garrett
