Ms. Sharon Denise Ray received her call to rest in peace on Sunday, January 12, 2020. She was born to Maggie Breeden Ray and the late Bill Ray. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Annie Von Breeden; one brother, Mike Larnell Breeden; both maternal and paternal grandparents.
She attended High Point City Schools and later received a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC Chapel Hill. She went on to be a top adjuster at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 17 years.
Sharon joined St. Paul Presbyterian Church in her early years and was a firm believer in God.
She leaves to cherish her memories one lovely daughter, Ashley Ann Hall of the home; mother, Maggie Ray of High Point, NC; one sister, Mae Jones of Greensboro, NC; four brothers, Kenton T. (Shelly) Breeden, Colon A. (Laura Ann) Breeden, Billy W. (Luthenia) Breeden all of High Point, NC and Eldwin (Denise) Breeden of Durham, NC; three aunts, Mrs. Annie Breeden of High Point, NC, Mrs. Eula Becoat and Mrs. Sarah Clark both of Richmond, VA; three uncles, Willie Breeden of High Point, NC, Bernard Breeden and James Breeden both of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 pm.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
