Ms. Sallie Robbins, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center. She was born on June 5, 1927 to the late Milton and Ora Robbins. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lucious Robbins, Milton βDewittβ Robbins Jr., Mabel Brown, Gladys Robbins and Cornelia Sharpe and her beloved companion, Odell Walker.
Sallye graduated from William Penn High School followed by Marco Beauty School. She was a talented Beautician to many over the years as well as a devoted member of the Yadkin Civics Club and the Pointers Club.
The matriarch of the Robbins family leaves to cherish her precious life and memories her sons, Ricardo Ricky βBirdβ Robbins and Alan Robbins; seven grandchildren, Brandi Robbins, Jermaine Parson, TaDarris Brown, Nieves Jackson, Shea Watts, Antonio (Janae) Watts and Tiffany Wilson; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson, Kaidyn Garris along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sallye lived a long, beautiful life and her legacy will be celebrated by her family and remain in the hearts and lives of everyone who knew her. She was a true testament of values of love, gratitude, respect and dedication.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, 833 Leonard Avenue. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
