To Ms. Brandis, and family and friends who loved Alma Leigh Brawner: I am so sorry for your loss, and so sad that Alma has passed away. We became friends at High Point Central High School, class of 1970, and stayed in touch throughout her life. She was a warm, generous, kind and thoughtful and funny presence on Facebook and I will miss her messages and her posts, sharing so much to make us smile. I last saw her about 2 year ago, and we met at Mayberry for lunch and we laughed and talked and had a grand time. It was a gift to know her and I will remember her always.

I worked with Alma at the hospital and shared many cases, laughs, and "eye- rolling " above the masks in the OR. We stayed in touch and talked a lot of friends and days gone by. Rest dear Alma. No more struggling! I will miss you and remember you fondly dear friend!

Alma and my mother (Trudy who gained her wings in March 2024) were very close friends (besties), They would spend hours talking on the phone about the latest gossip on the stories (The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful). They encouraged each other and always had lots of laughs and a great love and respect for one another. I can envision them now in heaven walking, talking, no more pains or sorrows laughing, smiling, and praising the Lord.
