Ms. Lucille J. Williams, 77, was born in Statesville, NC on November 13, 1945, the daughter of the late Bill Jones Sr. and Sallie Strange Jones. She departed this earthly life to enter eternal rest on February 23, 2023.
Lucille was educated in the Iredell County Public School System. After which, she moved to High Point, NC and entered the workforce at High Point College then moved to the Hotel industry managing the environmental services.
She was a long term and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of High Point, NC. Lucille served faithfully and passionately in several capacities. Later, followed the pastoral ship of Ronald K. Evans at RISE America Outreach Ministries where she was a loyal and supportive member. She was also a member of Hallelujah Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor George D. Steele, Sr.
She had a power of healing and a spiritual discernment. Lucille was a true warrior for God who had an infectious spirit. She could meet a person and then have a conversation with them about their future. Most reactions were, “how did she know that!”, those who knew Lucille knew she had a special gift from God that was amazing. A woman of style, who dressed to impress and coordinated from head to toe. She loved her family and family gatherings. Lucille prepared or organized family events without consent of others. She was incredibly competitive in spades and the game of trouble she refused to lose.
Lucille was preceded in death by both parents and husband Alfred Williams, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two brothers, Bill Jones, Jr. and Larry (Deborah) Jones of Durham, NC; six loving children, two sons Curtis L. (Mary) Williams of Thomasville, NC, and Alfred Williams, Jr., of High Point, NC, four daughters, Lucille Ray, JoeElla Williams, Brenda Lambert, Darlene (Darrin) McLean all of High Point, NC; thirteen grandchildren, Derick Williams, Titus Gray, Coretius Jacobs, Deyara Williams, Brittany McDonald, Shatera Williams, Mercedes Williams, Johnisha Ray, Kimberly McMasters, Alexis Lambert, Elantra McMasters, Manera Tillman and Daylan McLean. A host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and church family.
