Obituary For Mr. Robert Earl Davis
Mr. Robert Earl Davis affectionately known as Bobby entered into eternal rest on Friday October 13, 2023 in Chase City, VA. Bobby was born September 11, 1946 to the late Jack, Sr. and Lugenia Davis of Cairo, GA. Bobby was proceeded in death by his wife, Cynthia Davis of Jacksonville Florida and three brothers, Joseph L. Davis, William O. Davis and James (Butch) Davis.
He was a 1966 graduate of Washington Consolidated High School where he was a star football player.
After high school Bobby spent four years in the United States Army where he served his country with pride. The fifth child of the family he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bobby was employed with NJ Transit of Maplewood, NJ for many years and received many safety awards and accolades.
Bobby is survived by 3 children, Keisha (Cedric Berry) Adamson of Atlanta, GA. Robert (Charmee) Flack of Charlotte, NC and Marjorie (Cassius) Flack of Lawndale, NC; siblings, Carolyn Marshall of Fort Valley GA. Curtis A. Davis of Dallas, GA, Jack O’Neal (Gearldine) Davis of Conyers, GA and Edna Perez of Parker Heights, TX.; grandchildren, Alexis Bonner of Atlanta, GA., Mark Hawthorne of Newark, NJ
Savoi Logan of Boone, NC and Grace GG Hodge of Lawndale, NC.; stepson, Maurice (Crystal) Kegler of Shelby, NC.; twenty-two nieces and nephews; best friends Arnold (Hotshot) Phillips of High Point, NC and Quincy of Chase City, VA.; special friends, Elsie Adamson of Atlanta, GA., Vivian Flack of Lawndale, NC and Dianne Sanders of Shelby, NC.
NO PUBLIC VIEWING.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Crestview Cemetery, Cairo, GA.
