Obituary For Mr. Gary Lee Gaines

Mr. Gary Lee Gaines, 65, departed his earthly life on December 19, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on January 23, 1957, in Asheboro, NC, a son of the late Elsie Gaines and Ineal Gaines. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joletha Gaines Alston and Loretta Gaines.

Gary loved going to church, where he was dedicated to the church and gave of his service to whatever needed to be done. For over 20 years, he was a floor buffer. Gary was an humble person and loved his family. He also loved reading his Bible. Gary had a wonderful sense of humor, and always had a smile on his face.

Gary leaves to cherish his sweet memories one daughter, Precious Gaines; one grandson, Isaiah Glass; one brother, Elsie Gaines, Jr. (Gale); four sisters, Vanessa Gaines Little (Lindsay), Sonya Gaines Thompson (Anderson), Tina Gaines, and Phoebe Gaines McInnis (Donnell); a special friend, Dessa Timmons; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
