Christopher “Chris” Marshel Gay, 54, was born May 1, 1966 in High Point, NC to Naomi Davis and the late David Lee Gay. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center.
Marshel, he was called growing up, was a graduate of Southwest Guilford High School, class of 1984. He lived most of his life in High Point where he worked in shipping and receiving. He was a member of United House of Grace and Mercy Church. Marshel loved all sports and enjoyed watching them on TV. He also loved spending time with his grandson, Eden. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Family left to cherish his memories include his loving mother, Naomi Davis of Raeford, NC; one son, Christopher Gay Jr.; and friend, Desmone Kearse of High Point; one grandson, Eden Jones of High Point; one brother, Twan (Tia) Fears of Burlington, NC; a very dear friend, Donica Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
