Mr. Bobby Wilson, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Hospice Home at High Point. He was born on January 30, 1954, in Dillon, SC, to the late Johnny Wilson and Sallie Mae Rogers-Wilson.
Bobby received his education in High Point City Schools and was raised in the Baptist faith. Throughout his teenage years, Bobby found joy in playing basketball, where he displayed remarkable skills and passion for the sport. Known for his kind and compassionate nature, he was a beloved figure in the family, a wonderful brother, and a caring uncle who always went out of his way to support and uplift others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sarah McCray Rogers; three brothers, John Rogers, Aaron Wilson, and James Wilson; one sister, Kathy Perkins; his niece, Sharlene Wilson; and his nephew, Tony Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters, Mary Rogers, Mary Wilson, and Sharlene Wilson; two brothers, William Wilson and Michael Wilson, all of High Point, NC; two stepdaughters, Angela Womack and Michelle Littlejohn (Brad) of Greensboro, NC; one aunt, Mary Rogers-Ware of High Point, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
