Anthony James Houston, 60, passed away on December 29, 2023, at his residence. He was born on March 23, 1963, in High Point, NC to the late Jean Houston and J. Huston Williams. Anthony, also known as Tony, will be remembered as a fun-loving individual filled with adventure and laughter. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother, Clendora Houston (Lee), his parents Jean Houston (Parker) and J. Huston Williams, his great-aunt Mable Houston (Glover), sisters Theresa Houston (Allison), Sharon Houston, his brother Christopher Houston, and nephew Michael J. Houston.
Anthony attended Guilford County Schools and later went on to work at Marlowe-Van Loan Corporation, where he made a significant impact. Outside of work, he enjoyed various hobbies including watching football (he was the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan!), listening to music, watching Sanford and Son, and spending time fishing.
He is survived by his cherished daughters, Raven Houston and Brandis Brawner; his former wife, Tina Brawner Houston; Anthony was also a proud grandfather to his loving granddaughter Lauryn Brawner-Alexander. Additionally, he is survived by siblings, Jasper Williams, Jay Williams, Jr., Sharon Green, and Cynthia L. Williams; his nieces, LaTeesha Houston and Minister Antenetta (Andre) Flake-Wall; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends remain to share his memory.
Anthony James Houston will be deeply missed by his entire family, friends, and all of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
