Obituary For Mr. Anthony Burns

Mr. Anthony Michael Burns (aka “Buck”) departed this world to go where there is no more pain and suffering on March 6, 2021. He was born May 21, 1959, a son of the late Jessie Mae Burns and Lacey Cassell. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Galloway.

Mr. Burns was an avid lover of fun, music, and dressing nicely. He loved his long-time fiancé of 40 years, Mary Watts, his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, family, and friends.

Left to cherish fond memories are heartbroken siblings, Darrell Galloway and Marcia Galloway; his comforting fiancé, Mary Watts of the home; three loving children, Priscilla Hawthorne of Charlotte, NC, Miquel Watts Oliver and Miranda Watts, both of High Point, NC; his beloved grandchildren, Amira Hawthorne, Jarique’ Green, Ya’mein McNair, Messiah Tanner, and LeQuan Goodwin. Mike has a host of supportive cousins, friends, and associates.

A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Mr. Burns may be viewed on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00PM until 7:00PM.
