It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kimberly McCall, a beloved mother and grandmother, whose life embodied the values of resilience, compassion, and faith.
Kimberly McCall, 56, transitioned on July 22, 2024 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on July 7, 1968 to the late Wardell McCall and Elois McCall.
Kimberly was a proud graduate of High Point Central High School, Class of 1986. Her journey was marked by a commitment to service and education, spanning disciplines from cosmetology to medical office administration and CNA nursing. Kimberly exemplified selflessness and dedication to family. Her magnetic personality and love for music were matched only by her kindness and generosity. She was a beacon of strength, offering support through her prayers. Her impact extended far beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her four devoted children: Whitney Griffin, Michael Griffin, Shamyia Griffin, and Jarariel Simmons, and her three beloved grandchildren: Nehemiah McCall, Noah McCall, and Bentley McCall. Kimberly leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire and uplift generations.
As we navigate the void left by Kimberly's absence, we also celebrate the remarkable life she led and the profound impact she had on each of us. Though our hearts ache with loss, we find solace in the knowledge that she now rests peacefully, her spirit a guiding light that will forever illuminate our paths.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Kim and I grew up together, sang in the Young Harmonettes together, went to school together, played in the marching band together and graduated high school together.
