Mrs. Connie Lee Crouch Johnson Fultz, 79, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was born October 3, 1943in Mineral Springs, NC to the late Cornelius Chambers and Dave Crouch. She was also preceded in death by her son, Eric D. Johnson; sister, Ordella Walls; brother, Willie Crouch.
Connie attended schools in Richmond, Co. and Aberdeen, NC. She was an advent church member of Solid Rock Holiness and St. Mary Holiness Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Ruth Monroe. During her time worshiping there, Conne served in multiple roles, but her most memorable was her choir singing. One of her favorite songs was βIf I had a hammerβ. There are many memories we all can share about Connieβs love for God. It was through fellowshipping that Connie met her husband, Edward Johnson and they were blessed with five children and 18 1/2 years of matrimony and moved to High Point, NC to raise their family. She would travel weekly and every holiday to continue her fellowship with her family. Later in life, Connie re-married and was blessed with another child.
Connie worked various jobs throughout High Point until retiring. Of all the jobs she has had, two of her favorites were cooking, meeting and talking to people, and her love for her family. She loved to cook and feed people. She did not believe in people being hungry. If you told her you were hungry, she would go and prepare a plate for you. And honey, Mrs. Connie could cook. Especially her greens, fried chicken, sweet pies and oxtails and beef ribs. All in saying, Mrs. Connie was a wonderfully blessed loving and kind woman.
Connie will be lovingly remembered by her children, four daughters., Phyllis Ababo of Greensboro, NC, Lori Gbayon of High Point, NC, Keshia (Leroy) Lucky of Greensboro, NC, and Natasha Fultz of Thomasville, NC; one son, Jeddy (Doris) Johnson of McLeansville, NC; twenty-four grandchildren, eighty-five great grandchildren; twenty-six great great-grandchildren; brothers, William Taylor, Jr. of San Antonio, TX.; and Dennis Wall of Rockingham, NC; sister-in-law, Patricia Irene (Elder Calvin) Smith of High Point, NC and god daughter, Linda Moore of High Point, NC; and a multitude of nephews, nieces, other family members and friends; best friend, Annie Jackson of High Point, NC; special friend her health aide, Mrs. Barbara of High Point, NC; two grand fur babies, Champ and Milo.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

My condolences to the Fultz family, on behalf of Connie Fultz. I met Mrs. Fultz many years ago and she and I became instant friends. She was a very nice lady and so down to earth. We would talk on the telephone for hours about life, children, men or anything else that crossed our minds. I was younger, but I enjoyed talking with her and receiving much wisdom from her. I am so glad I got to meet such a fine woman. RIP Mrs. Connie Fultz
