I am sad to hear of the passing of my old roommate at NCCU in our freshman year. He was a good guy!
Albert Walter Jones, III. (Schweitzer)
I'm deeply sorry to hear about your loss. May their love, laughter, and memory will inspire you in the days ahead. Love you all, Ann Tillery
I extend my condolences to the family of Benjamin J. Lawrence, III. Although I have not seen Ben, affectionately known as Strolla, since high school graduation, I remember him to be a gentleman with a noble soul who was well respected by teachers as well as his classmates. I have fond memories of Strolla, especially as members of the great William Penn High School marching and concert bands (I was head majorette in the marching band and played flute in the concert band, he played trumpet), the drama club, the yearbook staff, and the Humanities' class trip to Washington, DC. Additionally, we were practically neighbors as my family lived on Ellwood Dr and his family lived a couple of blocks away on Wendell St. The death of a loved one is never easy, but tragedies pierce the heart in every direction. Please know that your pain touches all the lives that Strolla touched, and we mourn your loss as if it were our own. May your faith and belief sustain you during your time of grief. Praying you enough....Barbara Carter, WP Class of '68
