Tanesha Ariel Lane, 29 of West Palm Beach, Florida (formerly of Eden, NC) passed Thursday, February 6, 2025. Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. β 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. β 12:00 p.m. at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church 3890 US Business 220 , Stoneville, NC. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Hairstonβs Cemetery at 174 Shady Grove Rd. Eden, NC.
Tanesha Ariel Lane was born in Eden, North Carolina, on March 31, 1995. She passed away on February 6, 2025. Her beautiful children survive her, Braxton Sean Whittington and Bayleigh Skye Whittington (Burlington, North Carolina), parents, Derick and Kindra Gunnings Lane (Huntersville, NC) and brother, Jordan Terrell Lane (Huntersville, NC). Her grandparents; David, Shirley Gunnings and Carol McCullough, preceded her in death. Her living grandparent is Joann Cheek (Greensboro, NC). She leaves behind three special aunts; Rainie Slade, Eden, NC, Teresa Nunley, Stoneville, NC and Adelaide Laryea, Burlington, NC. She leaves behand aunts; Katrina Cheek, August, GA and Ashley Cheek, Kannapolis, NC. Honorary grandparents; Betty and Franklin Johnson, Godparents, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Tanesha was a devoted mother, friend and sister. She had a big heart and often put the needs of others above her own. She was passionate abut providing for here children, her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending time with friends and being near the ocean as much as possible.
Before moving the West Palm Beach, Florida, Tanesha was a Huntersville, NC real estate agent. She worked at a travel and tourism company in West Palm Beach, which allowed her to help her customers plan for their dream vacations.
Tanesha graduated from Greensboro College Middle College in Greensboro, NC in 2013. She was the salutatorian for her graduating class. Her graduation speech showcased how students can overcome obstacles. This speech moved the audience and received loud applause.
Many loved and cared for Tanesha. Her dedication and commitment to providing the best life possible for her children will not be forgotten.

I am heartbroken to hear of Tanesha's passing. From the first time I met her at cheer camp as a bright-eyed 5-year-old to watching her grow into a beautiful young woman through our church family, she always carried such joy and light. Her kindness, energy, and spirit will never be forgotten.
