Samuel Lee Dalton “ Sammy Lee,” 66 of Madison, NC passed Saturday, September 21, 2024. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, September 30, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel of Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. with funeral service beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Our Lord called one of his angels, Samuel Lee Dalton, 65, home on September 21, 2024. Mr. Dalton was born March 1, 1958, in Madison, NC to the late Elizabeth Joy Dalton and Arthur Dalton, II, he was joining his brother, Arthur Dalton, III in heaven.
Samuel graduated from Madison-Mayodan High School in 1976 before dedicating twenty-four years to Culp in Stokesdale, NC. When not hard at work, Samuel was a devoted fan of NFL Football and his “stories”, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. “Sammy Lee”, as he was known to family and friends enjoyed being with his friends, with special acknowledgements to his closest friend, William “Pig” Cummings. A compassionate caregiver for loved ones, Samuel was fiercely independent, generous and vibrant. He was infectious to be around, you were always guaranteed a good time.
Samuel leaves to mourn: Nephew; Derrick Shane Bowman (Taylor) and great-niece, Alora Bowman of Walkertown, NC. Aunt; Polly J. Goolsby of Walnut Cove, NC, uncles; Samuel Joyce of Stokesdale, NC, James Joyce of Greensboro, NC and Sherwood Dalton of Madison, NC. Cherished cousin, Stella Terry of Madison, NC, forever friends; William and Donna Cummings of Madison, NC and the many other friends who held “Sammy” in their hearts.

I will forever cherish memories of his kindness and support when my husband and his classmate and close friend, Christopher "Butch" passed away. Rest in peace, Sam.

Sammy Lee and I were neighbors for almost four years; I must say that he was a wonderful, friendly,neighbor. Sammy was always helpful and kind & considerate to all of us. It is with great sadness on learning of his death; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May Sammy Lee rest in peace is my prayer. Mary Reese
