Joseph “Joe” Henry Franklin, 79 of Madison, NC passed Monday, September 9, 2024. Public viewing will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel of Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC on Monday, September 16, 2024 with the Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Stoneville Community Cemetery, 186 Joyce Farm Rd., Stoneville, NC.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, Joe Henry Franklin made his transition into life eternal following a short illness. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend was born December 20, 1944 to the late Vivian Domineck and the late Robert Caple, Sr.

He was educated in Rockingham County public schools and graduated from the former Charles Drew High School, Class of 1964. Joe was employed with Food Lion, where he retired in 2021.

In his spare time Joe loved spending time with family and enjoying watching his favorite team, The Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed being outside sitting on the porch as well as traveling from time to time with his beloved wife. Joe never missed a birthday dinner for none of his family, especially his grandson, Christopher (Pumpkin).

He was also preceded in death by his stepfather; James “Noodie” Domineck, three brothers; Chucky, Blake and Wesley Domineck. Robert Caple, Jr. and two sisters; Dale Price and Betty Yvonne Franklin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Charlotte Franklin of 57 years of the home. His children: Joe Moore of Greensboro, NC, Pamela Bernard (James) of Summerfield,NC, Taneka Franklin (Jeff) of Greensboro, NC. Sister; Doneice Dominick of Mayodan, NC, Jimmie Dominieck of Eden, NC. Brothers; Terry Domineck (Maurice) and Ted Caple (Polly) both of Madison, NC, Frank Caple of Clinton, MD, Will Caple (Peggy) of Southern Pines, NC, Six grandchildren; Christopher Bernard, Jordan Moore, Christopher Whitsett, Chelia Whitsell, Kiymarn Michael and Cheyenne Murphy. Sister-in-law: Carolyn McCullough (William) of Stoneville, NC, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
