Frenzola Williams, 89 of Eden, NC passed Friday, February 7, 2025. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday February 14, 2025, at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Robinson Memorial Holiness Church 521 Turner St. Eden, NC with the “Celebration of Life” will beginning at 12 Noon.
On Friday evening, February 7, 2025 the Lord called our mother, Frenzola Smith Williams of 407 Price Street, Eden, NC to come home. She was born in Rockingham County to the late Marshall E. Smith and Esther Jane Reynolds Smith.
She attended Douglass High School, Eden, NC. Frenzola joined Robinson Memorial United Holiness Church in her very early years. She continued to be a faithful member for 70+ years. She was an active member of the Usher and Greeter”s Ministry as well as the Missionary Ministry. She also served as a former member of the Gospel and Senior Choirs, along with the traveling singing group, “Together In Christ”.
On August 3, 1957 she married Joe Willie Wiliams, Jr. who preceded her in death. To their union, five children were born. One son, Clifford Williams also preceded them both in death.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Julius Nathaniel Smith and Eugene Smith and sister, Camilla Dillard.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons and one step-son; Joe Williams and Kevin Williams and Terry Hairston (Mona) of Eden, NC. Two daughters; Linda Valentine (Ronald) of Axton, VA, Lisa Hairston (David, Sr.) of Cascade, VA, brother; Leonard Smith (Mary) of Eden, NC. Ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
