Floyd Edward France, Sr., 81 of Walkertown, NC passed Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024, at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC . The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Withers Chapel Church 2793 Pine Hall Rd., Walnut Cove, NC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Mr. Floyd Edward France, Sr. was called home to glory. Mr. France was born August 26, 1943 in Stokes County to the late Edward L. France, Sr. and Gracie M. France.
He attended Carver High School, Winston Salem, NC and was a member of Withers Chapel Church, where he was a Guitarist. A Minister of Music that shared his gift with many and was known for his passion for music and the Master of the Strings.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rebecca S. France. He was also preceded by two sisters; Vera Mae France and Magdalene France Taylor and five brothers; Larry D. France, Sr., George C. France (Clay), Edward L. France, Jr., Lloyd G. France Sr. (Joe Bird) and Samuel R. France, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his four children: Melissa Puryear of Rural Hall, NC, Steven L. France of Walkertown, NC, Floyd E. France, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and Nicole Strickland of Winston Salem, NC along with 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; Journee Puryear and Zaim Houston and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

I'm praying for strength and healing to this family..Floyd was a true man of GOD and I really enjoyed him when he help play with us during our choir's anniversaries when I was at Rock Hill and Baileytown church.He will be missed dearly ..Rest in peace Floyd ,,now you ,,June Brown and Duke can play all you want to ....GOD BLESS
