Obituary For Edgar Jerome Galloway, Jr.

Mr. Edgar Jerome Galloway, Jr., 51, of Greensboro, died January 21, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Rising Star Baptist Church in Eden. Burial will be in Eden Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Edgar Jerome (Jake) Galloway, Jr. of Greensboro, NC entered enteral life on January 21, 2019 at his home in Greensboro, NC. He was born in Rockingham County to Theressa Hairston Galloway and the late Edgar J. Galloway, Sr. Edgar Jerome (better known as Jake to family and friends) graduated from Rockingham County Senior High School in 1985 then continued his education at Rockingham Community College, Wentworth, NC. His dream was to become a Barber, in which he attended Park West Barber School, Greensboro, NC and received a Master Barbers License. He was such a loving, caring and friendly person who was always willing to share his skills with everyone he came in contact with. He will be dearly missed. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his mother; Theressa Galloway, two sisters; Darlene Galloway and Brenda G. Broadnax all of Greensboro, NC, grandmother; Earlean Martin of Eden, NC, niece; Amari Broadnax, three nephews; Dre Galloway, Tre Galloway (Lizbeth), Elijah Galloway, two great nieces, one great nephew, a special grandson, Noah Lopez, his best friend, Paul King, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
