Carnell Cornelius Jones, 73 of High Point, NC passed Friday, February 21, 2025. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, 402 Short Ave., Madison, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral in the Mary D. Perry Chapel of Perry Spencer Funeral Home with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Carnell Cornelius Jones aka CC/Corney went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was the son of the late Carnell and Ruth Jones born July 16, 1951.
Cornelius, as he was known by family and friends, graduated from Northwest Guilford High School, Greensboro NC in the Class of 1969. He later enlisted in the US National Guard in the motor division where he found his love of automobiles and traveling, he was a Retired Master Sargent at the time of his departure from the National Guard. He enjoyed his motorcycle riding, his club Buffalo soldiers of the Greensboro Chapter and loved his friends and family.
He felt blessed for the last few years of his life spending time with sons and grandchildren. He took pride in having conversations with people and sharing stories. CC enjoyed helping his neighbors and people in the community.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Christopher (widow, Ida) Jones.
He leaves behind sons: Jermaine Moore, Mark Hayes, Bradley Moore, Johnathan Moore (Amanda) and Josh Moore. Grandchildren; Britney Moore, Johnathan Keyon Moore, Brinley Moore, Ariana Moore, Joshua Moore, Jr. along with grandchildren. Sisters; Terry Galloway of Fort Mill, SC and Cherrie Jones of Vestavia Hill, AL. Brother, Timothy Jones of Winston Salem, NC, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
