They don't make them like Mrs Sandra Horne Ferree any more! I will miss her dearly and loved talking to her for as long as I can remember.
From we were pre-teens, she was so welcoming and charming around her cousins from up north, (that's Carol & me). Sandra forgave our Yankee accents, sat me down on the porch outside Mama's house. So, we of course started noticing words, comparing our slang to each other's! I remember that "sneakers" were "tennis" and "soda" was "pop". Our differences delighted her so, and she was always curious to learn how other people lived, spoke, believed and expressed themselves. She and I would stay in touch through the 50+ years of our family friendship... off and on...but, I'm so glad we really stayed close and connected in the last 10 years or so since my Mon passed away. Sandra helped Aunt Ann arrange Thanksgiving dinner for Dad and me every year until Aunt Ann passed. And I remember asking Dad to invite Uncle Charles over during one of our visits so we could get a group photo with all three of the siblings...Ann, Charles & Edwin. I cherish that photo to this day.
Lord I will miss my cousin Sandra. She was the family glue, the person to get things rolling and the light in the room. I hope she's up there in heaven now getting Ann, Charles & Edwin together for a family meeting!Sandra we love you & we will never forget you...Love Cuzn Chris

I was a classmate of Sandra. She was a sweet person and good friend then, and no doubt just as sweet throughout her life. Rest easy, Sandra.
My sister Bon talked about Sandra almost every day, about how much she loved her & how she really enjoyed her company. Which made me love her. Also, I will miss hearing about her and the joy she bought people around her. May God give her husband and family peace, or passing all understanding. See you in heaven, one day, Sandra❤️🙏🏽 love Carmen B.
Rest well Sandra. You will be truly missed. Roland & Joy Moore
