In Loving Memory of Rev. Rosa Lee Godbolt
August 28, 1927 – June 9, 2023
Rev. Rosa Lee Godbolt, a cherished member of her community, peacefully passed away
on June 9, 2023, at the age of 95. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those
who knew and loved her.
Born August 28, 1927, in Marion, SC. Rosa Lee Godbolt led a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication
to her family.
She leaves behind a legacy of strength and resilience,
which she instilled in her children: Mildred Cooper (Leonard), Albert Davis Jr.(Maxine, deceased)Mae Carolyn Davis, Johnny Godbolt, Andrew Godbolt, Jerome
Godbolt, and Doris Godbolt.
Rev. Rosa Lee, affectionately known as "Mama" was the foundation of our family. Her unwavering faith guided her through life's challenges, and her love and support
were felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She held a special place in the hearts of her
grandchildren (17) great-grandchildren (34), and even great-great-grandchildren
(3) who were all touched by her kindness and gentle spirit.
Rev. Rosa Lee was a source of love, comfort, and guidance. She created a warm and
nurturing environment that fostered lasting bonds and beautiful memories.
Rev. Rosa's legacy extends far beyond her immediate family. She touched the lives of
many through her acts of kindness and generosity. Her caring nature knew no bounds,
and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was a beacon of
light and hope in her community.
A Graveside service to honor and remember Rev. Rosa Lee Godbolt will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 11am.
Though she may be physically absent, Rosa's spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the precious memories we
shared with her.
Rest in peace, "Mama". You will forever be loved and remembered.
