Obituary For Paul Spencer (Trey) Jones,III
On December 1, 1984 Beautiful Baby Boy Paul Spencer Jones, III , Trey was sent by God to mother Patricia Thomas Jones, and father Paul Spencer Jones, Jr. in Greensboro North Carolina.
Trey attended Guilford County Schools, graduating from Southern High School in 2003, where he excelled in academics as well as athletics. Trey attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina on a football scholarship.
In 1994 Trey joined Mount Zion Baptist Church where he was baptized and received his salvation. During his first marriage, Trey joined Good News Baptist Church and faithfully served on the Usher Board. He also enjoyed attending Life Community Church in High Point, NC. Trey loved The Lord and had a close personal relationship with God.
He was employed as a Financial Specialist at Pinnacle Bank in Winston Salem NC, where he was loved by his coworkers and customers. Prior to Pinnacle, Trey worked at Bank of America for 12 years, as well as Wells Fargo for several years. Being an athletic man, Trey also worked for Integrity as a basketball referee, and assisted coaching his sonโs flag football teams.
Trey was happiest when he was surrounded by family. From his previous marriage to Teshia Whitaker Jones, they welcomed two children; Caleb Michael Jones and Sydney Elise Jones who he called Sydney Bean. Trey married Krystal Cameron in 2022; through this union they welcomed one child, Kailyn Kimora Cameron. He loved his children dearly. Trey was surrounded by a loving friend group. It was always a joy to watch Trey spending time with his children whether he was shampooing and combing his daughtersโ hair, or playing catch with his son. Trey was very competitive and always, always played to win.
Trey was so much fun to be around, and everybody loved him. He was an accomplished chef, and an excellent handyman. Most of all Trey was a very kind, and compassionate person.
Trey leaves to cherish his memory, wife Mrs. Krystal Cameron Jones, son Caleb Michael Jones, daughter Sydney Elise Jones (mother Teshia) and Kailyn Kimora Cameron (mother Krystal). Mother, Patricia Thomas Jones, father Paul Spencer Jones, Jr. Christian Emerson, sisters Lecretia Wright Williamson (Jason), Patrina Jones, Patryce Jones Hand (Darnell), Paula Jones, Paris Whitsett. Grandmother Mrs. Dorothy Flowers Thomas. Trey is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Best friend Shaun Brewer, and the entire Robert Brewer family. Trey will be dearly missed.
Funeral will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 11am Mt. Zion Baptist Church 1301 Alamance Church Road Greensboro, North Carolina. 10:30am Visitation. Burial will follow Lakeview Memorial Park.

My Husband, nobody knew your pain. We were all so blind and ignorant to the fact that life and its blows had become unbearable to you. I am deeply heartbroken and saddened by your passing and even in your absence, I pray for you daily. If only I had paid more careful attention, we may have been able to get you the help you needed before it was too late. Our daughter misses you so. It breaks my heart to tell her daddy is gone. I pray that lord keep you in resting.
To the entire Jones family, I pray that we can learn from this experience and spend more time uplifting and caring for each other. It takes more than just having a relationship with God. We have to be intentional about prioritizing our mental health. We have enough deterrents to the black family in this society. Let's not lose anymore of us to depression.
