Rev. Ellis reminded me of my father, quiet, strong, kind and powerful. He was my pastor for many years. My daughter and Zoya grew up together and still remain good friends. Thank you Rev. Ellis for being one of the best pastors I've ever had. The time that you, Mrs. Ellis, Zoya and Michael spent at Columbus Avenue gave me great memories that I will never forget and it was all because of your leadership. You will always have a special place in my heart. With love, Stacey Coplin King❤️
As a child I remembered going to Columbus Avenue AME Zion Church. Seeing this small man in stature mount the pulpit and break the bread of life. When he opened his mouth to deliver what God has given him he seemed like a giant. He will truly be missed. The Ave has never been the same since his departure.
