On Wednesday January 8, 2025 The Lord decided to receive our sister & aunt to join his son Jesus to her heavenly home. Missionary Mary Louise Wrenn Davila was born March 21, 1932 to Lexie Fred Wrenn and Myrtle Miranda Daye Wrenn.
She completed High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Louise traveled to Baltimore MD,
Florida, and Philadelphia PA and later moved to New Brunswick New Jersey. There she married Johnny Davila and worked as a quality control supervisor at a major furniture company for many years. She later moved to Danville, VA to care for her father. She
volunteered and was later employed by God’s Store House in Danville, VA. In 2022 she moved
to Greensboro NC to live with her niece Tijuana Surgeon Dawson.
Aunt Louise received her COGIC Missionary license in New Brunswick New Jersey.
She was a loyal and active member of Holy Temple COGIC Number 1 and 2 under Superintendent L F Wrenn and Elder Lyons. She served on the Missionary Board, Hospitality, Pastors Aid, and many other auxiliaries and functions, making sure she did all that was needed to help the ministry run smoothly. She proudly beat her tambourine and praised God every chance she had for many years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Superindent Lexie Fred Wrenn and mother, Mother Myrtle Miranda Daye Wrenn. (Sisters) Baby Wrenn, Myrtle Frances, Ruth Geraldine, (Brothers) John Edward, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Havon, Norman Lexie, James Charlie, Early Eli, Alfred Wyoming (Linda),(Nephews) Jerry Lavon Wrenn, Jamie Aaron Reginald Demarcus Wrenn, TyShawn Reese, (Nieces) Betty Ann Outten, Jackie, and Tammie Ledbetter.
She leaves to cherish her life, one sister Catherine Wrenn Surgeon, 3(nieces) Sharon, Tijuana,& Cynthia Davis, 9 (Nephews) Phillip, Norman Jr., Armond (GA), Bobby, Darryl (MD), Mark MD), Timothy (MD), Byron (Japan), Alfred (PA), and a host of Great Nieces, and Great Nephews a host of Great Great nieces and Great Great nephews and a host of relatives, church family, and friends. My sister and our aunt will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 12pm Kingdom Covenant Church 520 Teague Street Greensboro, North Carolina. Visitation 11:30am.
Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery .
