Laurie's light filled any room she entered. She was undoubtedly smart and caring but her intentionality in her mentorship of me was what stood out the most. She was always choiceful with her words but honest in everything. I know there are countless people who experienced her light and I'm grateful I had the chance to be impacted by such a phenomenal woman. My sincerest condolences to Laurie's family. I hope you experience peace and an outpouring of love from your community. With love, Michelle Albert

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who Laurie has touched, especially her family. I met Laurie on my very first day of MLT on the bus to take us to our first event. Her welcoming smile quickly eased my first day jitters and by the end of the bus ride we had already exchanged phone numbers. Laurie had such a bright spirit that was so joyful and loving that is so rare. You just wanted to be around her. Although we hadn't spoken in awhile, between birthdays and dinners and plenty of laughs, I'll always cherish the memories we shared. God bless you Laurie, thank you for sharing so much of your love with this world. Sending my deepest condolences, may God bless you with strength and shower you with love. Love, Ashley Tolbert
I am so saddened by the loss of Laurie. She and I went to Goizueta together. She sad such an awesome human being, always so happy and positive and willing to help even you needed her. I remember I was creating my first ebook to highlight professional women with natural hair and Laurie welcomed the opportunity to be a model for me. That's just the type of person she was, supportive whenever you needed help. She will truly be missed. May she rest in peace.
My condolences to you all. I work at Goizueta Business School and I grew up in Greensboro and I am a Page alumna. Beyond our shared connection, I remember Laurie's smile and her dedication. Sending my prayers to you all.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I work at Goizueta Business School and interviewed Laurie during the MBA admissions process back in 2014 and I knew immediately she was someone special. She was an amazing student and always a supportive alum. I so enjoyed re-connecting with her when she would assist us at admissions events in DC. She was truly special and will be so missed. My heart goes out to you. Praying for you during this most difficult time. - Libby Livingston

I met Laurie while she was on the West Coast working in the wine industry. We had many ladies wine nights where she would always have the right words of encouragement, empathy, and empowerment. She was truly a light to this world. My prayers go out to her family, she will be so missed.
I met Laurie through the MLT program as we were both in the DMV. Her smile and demeanor were infectious and her presence in the room made everyone happier. She will be deeply missed.
Laurie was a sweet angel with a smile and wit to light up a room. I got to know her very well while she pursued her undergraduate studies at VT. She was instrumental in helping the university establish a community of exceptional students, CoS. My heart is with her beloved family and community. She is and always will be loved.
I only met Laurie once & that was at her father's funeral. After reading the comments & seeing the beautiful light that shines thru, even in her picture, I think that Laurie was an Angel, only on loan to us on Earth for a brief while. Hearing how many people mention her sound advice & comforting, vivacious nature, it is clear to me that she was a role model to everyone she touched. Linda,I cannot begin to feel the depth of your loss. I always consider you a sister of my soul. These words about Laurie all remind me of you. It is clear to me that Laurie was a perfect blend of her father & your loving kindness, wisdom & humor. I am sad to have not known her, but I give thanks every day for knowing you. It is clear that Laurie made a huge impact on everyone she met. Know that that same light continued to shine thru you and Edward. God Bless, Forever, CC (Cathy & Ken Cockerham)
Linda, Barbara Ann and family, please know that our hearts are with you. Know that we care. FVHS '73
Laurie was a fantastic colleague and an asset at Gallo. She was a bright light and brought joy wherever she went. We are so fortunate to have been able to work with her across many Gallo Brands. My Sincere Condolences, Carrie Kroll (E&J Gallo)
Where do I even begin? Laurie has been the best friend I could have ever imagined and asked for since 8th grade. We have SO many memories, but favorites include some of our travels- to Iceland, to the mud baths in wine country in CA to our trip to the Dominican Republic where we played beach volleyball and Laurie was clearly the best player out there!
My life will truly not be the same without her contagious joy and smile and friendship. I'm so grateful for the 20 years we had together but will miss her more than words can describe.
Praying for dear Ed and Linda, I love you both!
Our deepest condolences and sympathy to your family Linda. May our God of peace through Jesus Christ give you comfort and to know you have us, to call on and support you🌹- Victoria, Robert, and Micheala Brewer- Love and Faith Christian Fellowship

Love and Prayers to the Manning Family
I cry every time I think about Laurie not being here with us. Some people you just expect to be out there in the world enjoying life. I just knew Laurie was one of them- somewhere at brunch, dancing- living, loving, laughing, sharing her infectious joy and radiant energy with everyone around her. I am forever grateful to her for so many small moments of joy that we shared during our friendship. She was a "girl's girl" for sure, always down to hang out and have fun but she was so much more- In 2018 while we were living in Oakland, I experienced a devastating loss of my own and Laurie was so comforting and warm. She didn't shy away from my hurt and pain and that's a testament to who she was as a beautiful, God-loving person as well as to her family and to all the people who loved her and made her into who she was. I'm sorry so many will feel the pain of her loss. I pray for her family who I know she loved deeply and I pray that we all carry a little of her kindness and joy with us forever more. 🌻🌻

It seems like yesterday when Laurie, Edward, and I were just best friends playing together in the neighborhood we all lived in. Carefree and having the time of our lives. From the day I met you Laurie I looked up to you as a friend turned sister and you always looked out for me and gave the best advice. You had a huge zest for life, an infectious laugh, and the brightest smile that could light up any room. I'm blessed to have known a soul as genuine as yours. Rest in eternal peace my dear friend. Heaven has gained the sweetest Angel.

Laurie was such a bright light and beautiful soul. I first met Laurie on a visit to Emory when I was deciding on business schools. I remember her infectious energy and kindness vividly. We crossed paths again when she was visiting a mutual friend in LA and then finally got the chance to work together at Nestle. I was so excited that our paths crossed again. Laurie's passion and drive was inspiring but even more impressive was the way she would make people feel and how she would connect with everyone she met. We would have deep conversations about navigating the corporate world and I would always leave our chats better than I entered them. I am so saddened that she is no longer with us but comforted to know that she is resting with her dad in heaven. My deepest condolences to her family. -Christyna Chandler
Laurie, smile was infectious and your kindness was contagious. You lit up every room you entered and you were always a source of friendship and compassion to everyone you came across. While we did not know each other long, I cherish the time we had together at Nestle and all that you taught me. I admired your brilliance and poise under pressure, and your effervescence. You never were too busy to check in or ask how my day/ week was going. Your drive, intelligence and kindness were, and continue to be an inspiration. You were more than a colleague, you were a confidant, mentor and friend and you left a lasting impression on everyone you interacted with. While you may be gone, your memory lives on and you will never be forgotten my friend. My deepest condolences are with your family and loved ones. - Meryl Winslow
