Mr. Frelon Smith passed away, Thursday, May 18, 2023. Frelon Leroy “Jack” Smith was born March 20, 1941 to the late Shellie Smith and Gracie Gant Smith i
in Liberty, NC. He departed this life on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Beacon Place with his family by his side.
Jack was a graduate of Sedalia Public School in 1959. After graduating from Sedalia he attend NC AT&T
where he was drafted in to the United States Army. He also worked at Carolina Loom Reed for over 31
years until his retirement. Jack was a member of Beulah United Church of Christ in Liberty, NC.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Coy Smith, Shellie “Dee” Smith, James “Bink” Smith, Willie “ Smith, Mary Lou Rippy, Annie B. Davis and Evelyn Crutchfield.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory; two daughters, Jacqueline Miller (Bernard) of Charlotte NC, Sandra Smith of Charlotte, NC, two sons, Anthony “Cab” Smith of the home and Mark Smith (Lisa) of Greensboro, NC; eight grandchildren, Laquita Miller (Camden), Marques Smith, Jaquinn Smith, Marquis Smith, Nya Brown, Tyler Inman, Ajada Smith and Zendaya Smith; seven great grandchildren; Ariya Smith, Jaquinn Smith, Shiheem Smith, Zuri Moon, Ezikeil Smith, Major Smith and Jasahn Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 1pm Shiloh Baptist Church 1210 South Elm-Eugene Street Greensboro, North Carolina. 12:30pm Visitation. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
