My sister, Jackie, and I always enjoyed hearing Bishop Tate speak at Power House when he served there as the assistant pastor. He exuded a steady sense of confidence and humility. He spoke about biblical characters, but he also emphasized his own personal walk with God. He indeed was a man in whom there was no guile. Not hype within the ranks of religious politics. Not arrogant, but determined to share his story about what the Lord has done for him. Truly, he was an inspiration to those who have a personal relationship with God, and a mindfulness to keep their feet on the ground as they enjoy the fruits of God's blessings. My condolences to Bishop Tate's family. May his legacy of genuine kindness and steadfastness resonate throughout the lives of the people he inspired.
Remembering this faithful servant of God, may his memory be forever eternal. Bishop K.J. Rogers, H.W. Fields Cathedral
