Obituary For James (Teddy) Preston Franklin

James (Teddy) Preston Franklin, 36, of Radcliff, died Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Elizabethtown.

He was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Upton; the Founder of Act on Violence and it's chief fund raiser.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rev. Ollie and Ella Louise Franklin; his paternal grandmother Lillie Barnett; an uncle Donnie Franklin.

He is survived by his wife, Janelle Franklin of Radcliff; two daughters, Tiana Franklin and Lillian Franklin both of Radcliff; his mother, Rocky Ditto (Elliott) of Vine Grove; his father, James A. Barnett (Angel) of Macon, GA; two brothers, Kenny Barnett (Amanda) of Elizabethtown and Jimmy Peavy (Kiara) of Rineyville; a sister Amanda Barnett (Patrick) of Radcliff; his paternal grandfather, David Montgomery.

The funeral will be held, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizabethtown Cemetery. Visitation after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the funeral home.

I am so sorry for your loss. James was a friend to my daughters, Jessica, Kayla, Adriana and Emily. He would always ask them to attend Wednesday night church with him when they were in middle school. He was a really good kid and he grew up to be a really good man. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
