Mr. Carl R. Hobson, 72, of Elizabethtown, KY died on January 22, 2020 at Elizabethtown Nursing & Rehab Center.
Mr. Hobson was a native of Brownsville, TN and the son of the late W. B. and Virginia Hobson. He was a member and guitarist of First Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran, as well as, a retired truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Hobson and one son, Jackie Waddell.
Survivors include sons, Melvin Waddell, Carl "Rone" Hobson (Kenyetta) and Michael "Mikey" Hobson (Christina) all of Elizabethtown, KY; one daughter, Theresa Waddell of Elizabethtown, KY; one brother, Gilliam Hobson of Rockford, IL and three sisters, Willette Coleman, Linda Hobson and Jean Hobson-Brown all of St. Louis; thirteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
Funeral service is 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.
A Funeral service will also be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Russell Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Summerville, TN.
Mr. Hobson will be buried with military honors in the Russell Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Iam going to miss Uncle Carl so much he always had me laughing when he came to Beloit to see daddy. his brother Wash Hobson Sr. And Mama Corine Hobson. The funny storys he would tell. I love and miss you Uncle Carl
When he was in GA, he played for our male choir. He even inspired me to become a piano player.
