Obituary For Alda Faye Shemwell

Mrs. Alda Shemwell, 65, of Elizabethtown, died on April 19, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Shemwell was a native of Chicago, IL and the daughter of the late Albert & Cynthia Holman. She retired from the Harvey (IL) Public School District and was a member of the Sign of the Dove Church in Radcliff, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dickerson; two sisters, Charlotte and Gail Shemwell and two grandchildren, Tiera Shemwell and Robert Ashford

Survivors include her children, Makeba D. Dickerson (Garnell), Kalimah A. Shemwell (LaSonia), Nikkio D. Dickerson, Tariya S. Shemwell (Torune) and Aaisha Shemwell (Clarence); one brother, Kevin Shemwell; two sisters, Quin'Etta Buchanan-Brown and Faye Johnson; seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Sign of the Dove Church with Pastor Edward L. Palmer officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am also at the Sign of the Dove Church.
