Jean Frances Forrest received the gift of life on October 19, 1941, in Bay County Florida to the late Benjamin Williams and Sylvia Lee Cotton Williams.
She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was a member of Springfield A.M.E. where she served faithfully in whatever capacity she was needed. Later, in life she joined the St. Luke Missionary Baptist to be with her husband.
She was a graduate of Jackson County Training School. Jean was employed at Jackson Hospital for over 30 years as a Ward Clerk on second floor. On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, she transitioned to her eternal home.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sister, Ethel Jordon; and brothers, Buck Williams and Benjamin Williams, Jr.
Jean leaves precious memories with her husband of 55 years, Charles Spencer Forrest; loving daughters, Bridgett Cassandra Starr of Marianna, FL, and Cynthia Jeanell Forrest of Panama City Beach, Florida; granddaughter raised as a child, Candra Pollock of Marianna, Florida; along with her son, Christopher Charles Forrest (April) of Marianna, Florida; brothers, Enoch Williams (Tommie) of Marianna, Florida, and Craig Williams of Chipley, Florida; sisters, Evelyn King of Washington, D.C., and Betty McCallister of Marianna, Florida; and a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws, along with long-term friends from Jackson Hospital, neighbors, and friends from West End Marianna, Florida.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 08, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church were Rev. Travis Ephriam is interim pastor and Rev. Riley J. Henderson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Orange Hill Cemetery with the caring staff of Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna, FL directing.
Public viewing and visitation will be on Wednesday, February 07, 2024, at Peoples Funeral Home chapel from 3 to 5 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until funeral time.
