Willie C. Bryant, Sr. life began September 27, 1939 in Marianna, Florida to the late Alto and Catherine Bryant. At the age of 82, he transitioned from life to eternal rest on February 20, 2022 in Marianna, Florida.
He was educated in the public schools of Jackson County. Willie, known to many as “Punk”, worked for the Jackson County Road and Bridge Department for many. He was a faithful and dedicated employee.
In Punk’s leisure, he enjoyed watching western movies and playing the lotto. Many would often see him making the route from Winn-Dixie to McCoys throughout the day.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Willie C. Bryant, Sr. (Anjanetta) of Panama City, Florida and Shaun Saffold of Marianna, Florida; one sister, Thelma Terry (Alex) of Manson, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Margaret Bryant of Marianna, Florida; five grandchildren, Elouise Bryant, Willie C. Bryant, III, Quentin Bryant, Danielle Bryant and Jaquavius Royster; six great grandchildren, Trenton, Raquel, Ranaya, Aliyah, Shamari and Bryson.
He was blessed to have many nieces and nephews who would constantly come by or call him to make sure he was doing fine. His devoted caregiver, Ms. Gwen, would always keep him on his toes. His neighbors and friends would also stop by to have a chat on the porch. His legacy and love lives on through each of us.
A Celebration of his life will be held graveside Saturday, February 26th at 10a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Daryl Johnson is Pastor. Minister Joseph Curry will be officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
