Marvin Davis Senior: father, son, brother, friend, soldier. Marvin was born to Clyde Senior and Pearline (Bennett) Davis on December 08, 1958, in Jackson, Mississippi. Marvin leaves behind three daughters: Ruzie Letrease Davis, Shanna Idell Conner, and Isabelle Samone Conner; he also leaves two sons: Marvin Davis Junior (Olivia) and Michael DeWayne Davis. In addition, Marvin leaves behind two grandsons, Martino Mar'Kell Brown and Xander Noel Davis. Marvin is survived by his siblings Pearlie Webster, Otis Senior, Rosie Pollard, Sylvester, Jeffery, Linda Faye Griffin, Horace, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched deeply. Preceding Marvin in death are his parents, his ex-wife Joanna Davis, and his brothers: Clyde Junior and Norris.
As a Staff Sergeant, Marvin Davis Senior served nearly a decade in the United States Army. He traveled the world, spending time in Germany, New York, Louisiana, Washington, and Florida.
A special thank you is given to his sister Linda “Faye” Griffin for being his caregiver throughout his illness.
Dad, go in peace – you've earned your sleep. We all love you and will miss you.
Memorialization will be by cremation with the caring staff of Peoples Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery in Dallas, TX at a later date.
