Hakim Darro Jarboh received the gift of life on December 10, 1990 in Miami, Florida.
He entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 31, in Dothan at the age of 34.
Hakim was a devoted father, beloved son, cherished brother, and treasured family member whose presence brought light, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
He was educated in Florida and attended Plantation High School in Plantation, Florida. After graduating, he furthered his education at Alabama State University.
Hakim later dedicated ten years of his life to his work at Gilliand Chevrolet GMC in Ozark, Alabama, where he earned the respect and friendship of colleagues and customers alike through his commitment and kind spirit.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Leatha Bell Robinson; his paternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Solomon; and his maternal great-grandparents, Frank and Bertha Bell.
Hakim’s proudest role was being a father to his precious daughter, Flo Emerey Jarboh, who was the center of his world and the greatest joy of his life.
He is deeply loved and remembered by: his parents, Momodou Jarboh and Latonya Robinson; siblings, Aminata Jarboh and Sharod Tyriek Oliver; niece, Danila; his aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him immensely, including Jimmy Walker, Evangeline Bell, Shamsidin Abdul-Ghani, Sabrina Hill (Joseph), Tameka Robinson, Fatimah Robinson (Corey), Halimah Robinson, and Charolette Nichole Brown; and many cousins by whom his memory will be forever held dear, Haneefa, Shaneka, Schaquetta, Terra, India, Reina, Joy, Janiyah, Jazmena, Jazmiah, Nia, Jayla, Sheldon, Jawon, Teddrick (Rebecca), Kaleem, James, Jeru, Jerek, Ezekiel, and Tyrese. Hakim’s love, loyalty, and laughter will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on through his daughter, his immediate family, and the extended family of aunts, great-aunts, uncles, great-uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.
A homegoing celebration of Hakim's life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Hillcrest Church of God in Christ located at 1939 Snapfinger Road Decatur, Georgia 30035 with Elders Larry Jordan, Michael Baker, John McBryde, Craig Smith, and Brother Eddie Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillandale Memorial Gardens in Lithonia, Georgia with the caring licensed professionals at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna, FL directing.
