Brother Arthur Henry Herring, Jr. "Blue"

To The Herring Family, Blue surely will be missed by his neighbors and neighborhood. As we know he loved to ride his bicycle all over the neighborhood. But after a while we'd see him walking. When asked "where's your bike, his reply was, "it's broken." The next time you see him he was riding a small bike which was too small but he managed it. Then after a while I didn't see him much. I'd go around the corner to check on him. He'd tell me, "today is not a good day." He didn't have to say it but I knew he was in pain. I aways asked, you need anything and sometimes he'd say, "I'm okay or alright." Other times he'd say bring me a snack or some coffee. Blue was a very independent person who you had to asked several times to do something for him. As his health declined he would reach out more. He always had a good sense of humor no matter how he felt. Blue, I can imagine you're riding around in heaven on your bike. No more pain, no more sickness but peace, love, joy and riding a heavenly brand new bike that never breaks down.
