William Lovins Justice (1939–2024)
William “Bill” Lovins Justice, 84, of Charlotte, NC, died on January 24, 2024.
He was born in Kermit, WV on February 27, 1939 to Roscoe Justice and Gladys Lovins Justice. Bill grew up in Chesapeake VA where he attended Great Bridge High School. He was a star pole vaulter and worked as a cameraman at a Christian TV station during high school He was stationed in Georgia with the US Air Force and attended UGA business school. He came to Charlotte in 1980. He had a thrift store in Winston Salem, worked as an exterminator, and as a contractor with ceramic tile. He enjoyed playing darts and bowling. He was a former member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his brother Roscoe Justice Jr. and sister Juanita Van Dam and is survived by his wife, Vickie Jones Justice, son Troy Conn, daughter Valerie Justice as well as daughters MaryAnne Rayfield, Mary Janelle Mitchell, Michelle Stoycon, and Crystal Finely, and sisters Betty Johnson, Dollie Busby, Delphia Dreano, and Anna Jackins and eight grandchildren.
There will be a small graveside dedication for close family on Tuesday Jan 30.
