Next week marks a year that Wayne has been gone. He left a hole in our lives and our hearts. He is missed. He was a he's working man that loves his family. We take people for granted when they're here. He lives on in each of our hearts.
Wayne would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a great friend, neighbor, and husband. There are a lot of circumstances in a person's life that can define who a person becomes and Wayne never let cancer win. He and Danielle lived a full life and made memories most of us dream about. Rest in Peace my friend and give my pup a hug from his mama- I know you two found each other 💕 Kim
Wayne and I met and fell in love almost instantly on the 10th of July 2017. And there began the crazy years of a deep love that many will never have the good fortune to encounter. He said he waited for me his whole life. He said he never felt loved like I loved him. I never felt loved like he loved me.
Wayne was strong and capable, a responsible and loving husband, father, and successful and prudent businessman. He was master of his own destiny. I am blessed to have been part of his life and to have accompanied him on his final adventures ...
Our Boat Nokaoi defined us in the end ...our tenacity and endurance. Our love for freedom and nature.... We sailed the ocean together and cherished each and every moment. I will remember you floating in the Dead Sea; on the lake with a beer in your hand; Morning coffee in the hot tub ; Sailing the ocean with music blaring full volume. I will remember you swinging the Bimini laughing with me... I will always love you.
Wayne was a great human being. He loves his family and he loves his life. He was thankful for those in his life and was excited about becoming a grandfather. He will be missed but a little of her m lives on in all the lives he touched.
Wayne will be so missed. We will cherish our year of sailing memories. Sending love to Danielle and family during this difficult time. ❤️ The Folgates
