Obituary For Walter Aikens
Walter Aikens, 82 was born September 5, 1939 in New Bern (James City), North Carolina and died April 2, 2022 at Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio. Walter retired from General Motors after 30+ years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Aikens Sr. and Eula Aikens; siblings, Ruby Aikens, Ambrose Aikens, Robert Aikens and Pocahontas Nobles. Those left to cherish memories are his sisters, Lucy Spellman, Geneva Ward and Katie Aikens; brother, Roosevelt Aikens; children, Kenny Swan, Keesha (Jerry) Black, Karla (Tim) Harlin; and companion, Gisela Powers.
Visitation 1:00 PM and the private funeral service is 2:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232

He had his last dance with us on his 80th birthday. We none knew that would be the last dance with him, but now he'll have his eternal dance with the Master.
