To the Godette and Wallace family, I was lost for words of my own because my heart has been broken since I got word of Silas' passing. I found this poem that reminds me of the person he is:
Do not stand
By my grave, and weep.
I am not there,
I do not sleep—
I am the thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints in snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle, autumn rain.
As you awake with morning's hush,
I am the swift, up-flinging rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight,
I am the day transcending night.
Do not stand
By my grave, and cry—
I am not there,
I did not die.

"For no one is casted off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love!! For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone." ..." So now is your time of grief, but I will see you again, and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy." (Lam:3/John 16) I pray God's peace and comfort for you and your family, in Jesus name, Amen!

My condolences to the family. At times like these we all need the Lord! We need to look to the hills, from which cometh I help. God bless the family, be strong, all is well.
My prayers, thoughts and sincere condolences to Silas's family! He practically grew up in St.Stephen FWB Church. Always smiling and was very mannerly to his elders. I didn't get to see him everyday but when I did he was smiling and answering yes or no ma'am. Silas you will truly be missed but we know that one day, we will all have a great reunion in heaven. Sleep in peace young Prince!

Dear Heavenly Father, We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting the family of Silas as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Please surround them with Your comfort, grace, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them strength in moments of weakness and hope in moments of despair. I ask that You be especially close to them during this time, holding them in Your loving arms as they grieve. Lord, I am so thankful for the precious time I had as Silas' 3rd grade teacher. His smile, his spirit, and the joy he brought to my classroom will never be forgotten. Please let his family feel the love and support of those around them as they remember and celebrate his life. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
