Her service is 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Antioch Congregational Christian Church. The interment will follow at the Sawyer Family Cemetery Alfred Road, Maribel Community.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley Davis Jr. of the home; son, Demetricis Davis, Bayboro, NC; daughter, Shondell Monk, Greenville, NC; her mother, Rosetta S. Gibbs, Bayboro, NC; two brothers, Billy Gibbs, Bayboro, NC and Tyron Gibbs, Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Ammie Scales, Fayetteville and Betty Joe Moore, Washington, NC; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Wr are sending prayers and condolences from Tennessee. I remember meeting Cousin Aunt Shirley at my mother in laws Birthday party. She hunted down the missing pan of sweet potato casserole that vanished unsuspecting. I could tell then she was a leader in the family... meaning she was a Boss!

My friend Shirley will truly be missed. I met her when we started working at MOEN. We were carpooling together for about 7 or8 years. We continued our friendship even though we didn't see each other that much after she retired but we talked on the phone. My son loved Miss Shirley that's what he called her.
