Sharon Y. Bunting, 58, of 622 Maple Lane, Raleigh, NC., passed at her residence Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
Sharon was a native of the Riverdale Community,a 1975 graduate of New Bern High School, retired administrative assistant at Dorethea Dix Hospital and a member of Green Chapel M.B. Church, Havelock, NC., serving as a former choir member. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015, 1:00 pm Green Chapel M.B. Church, 450 Hickman Hill Loop Rd., Havelock, NC. Burial will follow in the Hickman Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her sisters, Debra Bunting Felder of Columbia, SC and Gail Bunting Collins of New Bern;brothers, Gerald Bunting of Rocky Mt., NC and Willie Bunting III of Garner, NC Family visitation will be held at the home of Gail and Tommy Collins, 285 Riverdale Road, New Bern, NC. Viewing Friday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.

To my dearest Aunt Sharon, I love you. I thank you for taking me under your wing. I don't know how I am going to carry on but I have to be strong. That's what you wanted. Your dearest nieces will miss you dearly. Say hello to my grandmother and Aunt Theresa. I know God doesn't make mistakes but you're gone to a better place baby.
