Maceo Gibbs,91, of New Bern passed Friday, March 22, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral services 1:00 pm., Wednesday, March 27, 2024, St. Galilee M.B. Church, Maribel Community Bayboro, NC. Interment Gibbs Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons Josephus Gibbs, Bayboro and Danny Gibbs, Dale City, VA;brother, Guion ,Mahue Sawyer, Bayboro, NC; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
I am so sorry to learn of Mr. Gibbs death. I delivered meals on wheels to him for a number of years. I so enjoyed seeing him briefly each Tuesday morning when we chatted about the past and present. He always had a smile and a great perspective on aging. I will miss him. Debbie DiGilio
