James Moore,73, of Bayboro passed Saturday, April 19, 2025.

He is survived by his son, Keon Moore, Bayboro; daughter, LaKathy Green-Rich, Charlotte, NC; brothers, Daryl Best, New Bern and Billy Hall, Florida.
My heart is truly broken. James Jr. showed love and concern for me when we lived in North Chicago and throughout my life, and always had a laugh and a smile. He is truly missed but I'm glad he is at peace and in heaven. MISS YOU BIG BROTHER!!
My friendship with James span a little over forty years. I met James in New Bern when he was a commercial fisherman. He was a very smart man. I would always try to encourage him to reach his potential. He had so much to offer. Over the forty plus years, we would be in and out of contact. We last found each other via FB. Although, I hadn't seen him since the early 90's, he was still a close friend. He last texted on April 3rd saying he had had a hard day and he would fill me in, but I never heard from him again until I reached out to his daughter. I was lost for words in hearing of his sudden death. I will really miss my friend. He was very dear to my heart. I am praying for the family. Thank you Kathy for reaching out to me.
