Herlis Lee Moore, Sr.,74, of Grifton passed Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Viewing hours are10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary 1700 Oscar Drive.
The family will receive friends and have final viewing 10:00-10:45 AM, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at God's House For All People, Inc. 479 Whitfield Drive, Kinston.
His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 16,2024 at God's House For All People, Inc. 479 Whitfield Drive, Kinston.
He is survived by his sons, Andre Whitfield (Jennifer), South Carolina and Herlis L. Moore Jr., (Isabell) New Bern; daughter, Tracce Williams, Tennessee; brother, Freddie Moore Jr. Kinston; sister, Willa Dixon, Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

To the family of Herlis. I am sorry to read about the loss of your loved one. e and I were classmates at Savannah High School. He was always smiling and friendly to all. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May you find comfort in the Bible to help provide relief of grief and distress. Lee was a bonus brother to me and his passing had left such a void. We never get ready to lose our loved ones but I really wasn't ready for this. I have truly lost a friend and he will never be forgotten. Take your rest and whenever I cut my grass, I'll remember all the lessons you gave me.
