Greg and I met the in 1975 at Fayetteville State university. In our first week. We found out that we played football against each other in high school him at West Craven and me at White Oak. After we graduated we kept in touch over the years. Greg was one of the great guys that you could ever know. He was funny kind hearted laid back and I can say I've never seen him angry. I enjoyed our short time together in this life. We lost touch some years ago however I was able to speak to him. Mark Best was able to give me his number. I wish his family continued strength through this time of sadness. Dwight Washington Salisbury Maryland

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Greogry he was a great person to work with always humble and ready to help anyone in need he will be missed rest easy my friend God's Peace to the family
I first met Greg, when he and Dale had a place together, in Academy Park(Portsmouth Virginia). He was the manager of the 7-11. He hired me(my first real job), my sister, Carolyn and Dale's brother Quinton. We had a blast! He was the best manager, friend, brother, we could have ever asked for! He was such a humble, kind-hearted man. We used to love hearing him laugh( it was a chuckle-like laugh). He had a Christ-like love for everyone. When Dale and I was just dating, Greg and I used to double-team against Dale! Greg would always take my side, just like a Big Brother would do! That was over 41 years ago! We found him again, down here in New Bern. We visited him a couple of times. And it felt just like we never loss touch. The love hadn't changed, his laugh hadn't change and his humbleness hadn't changed. And we Know, that he's with the Father looking down with that same watchful caring eye, as we gather to celebrate his homegoing. Absent from the body, Present With The Lord. Amen. We're going to miss you, brother, friend. Will Love and Cherish our memories, For Ever For Always. Dale, Brenda, and Brendale Barnes.
May the Lord's hands of compassion and love and his guiding light from above, shine down upon you and give you strength during this time of sorrow. May you find comfort in knowing that friends share in your loss. With Heartfelt Sympathy, Floretta Gooding & Family

Gregg was a part of the Neuse Center crew. The job was challenging and at times, heart wrenching. Gregg supported everyone with a simple but sincere smile or a kind word. His strength was not in loud presentation, but mighty in deeds. Family and friends, may your memories bring you comfort.

Have you ever met someone, who simply cared about others? Have you ever met someone, who was just humble. I did and his name is Gregg Wright. Often without uttering a word, you just knew Gregg cared and was willing to do whatever he could to assist you. It's my prayer that God would keep Gregg's family and friends close to His heart, during this season of life.
