Reverend Ella Sykes Alston, 90, of New Bern passed on Wednesday, March 31, 2022.
Viewing hours are 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday at Oscar's Mortuary.
Her service is 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel. Viewing is from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Monday at the mortuary.
The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Harold Hill, Jr. and Calvin Hill, Sr. and grandchildren.
Ms.Altson will truly be miss. She loved the Lord and had great faith in Him. She constantly praise Him by singing and reciting Bible verses. She also loved her Family, Church and Community. She is very well resting now with a peaceful soul. She will always be remembered. RIP my dear joyful "hot ball".

Cousin Louise take your well deserved rest. She never failed to recognize who I was all I had to do was start talking and she would say Charlene is that you.
